About Us
Fishing for Generations
Fresh Catch Seafood was opened December of 2016 by local entrepreneurs Micah and Matt. Both having life long involvement in commercial fishing, they wanted to offer their customers quality seafood products from the beautiful waters of North Carolina. This dedication to quality and transparency has earned Fresh Catch Seafood a loyal customer base, who appreciate not just the taste of their offerings, but the ethical practices behind them. The duo's passion for the sea is evident in every aspect of their business.
Micah Daniels
Micah Daniels grew up in the fishing industry. Her great-grandfather opened a fish house in 1936, her grandfather opened a fish house in 1948 and she worked for her father’s fishing family as a youth and young adult. Micah is a fourth generation fish monger. As a young girl, Micah’s favorite pastime was shrimping in the Pamlico Sound with her father. Today, Micah manages the fish house and sells fresh NC seafood.
Matt Huth
Matt Huth has been fishing all of his life. He began his commercial fishing career at the age of fourteen as a crabber in the Albemarle Sound. Now Matt owns several fishing vessels and spends his time commercial fishing. Matt takes pride in his product, handling the fish and making short trips to ensure the highest quality seafood. His favorite fishing days are when his son Finn fishes along side him on his trips in the Atlantic Ocean.
